Some say the most important part when doing something is the beginning. Well, that's exactly what we did yesterday. It started after History class, when our presentation was only made up of ourselves and a piece of manila card. Although the presentation didn't go as smoothly as it would've been, Kornesh decided he wanted to have some fun with the manila card.First, he hit me with it for a few times. Then he ripped it apart but not entirely. After that, he rolled it into a torch-like shape and that's when we got the idea of making a sort of replica of the Beijing 2008 Olympics torch. Sure it was made out of manila card, but boy was it going to look awesome. We started of by stabbing it to cut out some pieces of it to make the fire. We didn't have scissors so we used a ruler. Then, after a couple of adjustments, it turned out really nice and was almost finished. However, it looked plain and boring. Then, Lay Heng came and drew the Beijing 2008 Olympics logo and I coloured it in. It looked way awesome by then and with more decorations like the rings and some spirals, it looked amazing. Nothing in this world made the whole class cheer in delight and unite as one and feeling proud that we actually have something that reflects the Olympics. Of course me and Kornesh were the proudest but nobody could hide their pride as well. The next day, today, we promised to bring manila card and other stuff for more Olympics decorations. It was here that the Olympic Committee was born. It mainly consists of anyone who in any way helped with everything, from cutting out the news for the Olympics Corner to supplying us with name tags. It was a movement where all of 4M1 was moving together. It took a whole hour to plan the work and work the plan. We mainly cut out stuff that regards the Olympics and some pictures of it, too. The blackboard was decorated with the Beijing Olympics logo and with the cheer and hustle of the Olympic Committee, the products were beginning to appear. We wanted to make another torch but it just wouldn't turn out the same as the first. Kornesh did manage to make another one but its awesomeness is that of a lesser degree than the first one. Many of us were very, very excited of the project. We couldn't finish everything by the end of the day but we did manage to go home with a very happy and proud feeling.
