Credits where credits are due.

It's been over a month and I feel that this blog would go to waste if nobody were to really finish it off. We spent the whole of the Olympics on holiday and didn't really have the chance to actually feel the emotion and the passion of the Olympics in Beijing. It was a sad feeling when we all realised that the Olympics were abandoning us before the school sessions started again. I was never in the mood to write here because in all honesty, there wasn't anything to write about. There were no celebrations, the torch wasn't taken as a picture and the whole class seemed to forget that they were the Beijing 2008 Classroom Committee and that everyone was a member. Well, It was never meant to be and that in 4 years we would all go our separate ways. Not that the Olympics weren't meaningful at all, it just wasn't meaningful enough to earn a place in our young hearts. It's sad how something so beautiful and prestigious started out to become something forgotten and redundant. I don't see anyone in the school with that much spirit as we had when we started this Committee. It was a shame to let it all go into farse.
Well, Kornesh, the head of the Committe told me that, in his distraguht voice, I should write something to credit all those taht were involved in the 2 or 3 days of the Comittee's lifespan.
A salute to the skies to these individuals, your support has been tremendous and your name shall go down in history as the fiorst Classroom Committe in SMKMR:
Kornesh
Ahmad Firdaus
Ahmad Faiz
Muhd. Amri
Mei Hui
Alim Aisyah
Nur Athirah
Nur Laili
Eng Hoe
Lay Heng
Chin Jun
Michael Kong
Kenneth Mok
Wen Long
and the whole of 4M1

Without your support, there would have never been a Classroom Comitte this united and this spirited to support the majestic Olympic Games.

Thank You

Smardcard Program

Hi everyone. Another wonderful day we're having today, especially because of the holidays. We, the Olympic Committee are very glad to inform you that we've decided to release the official smartcard prints here. These most prestigious smartcard prints come in three available design patterns, so you can choose whichever you think suits you the most. Therefore, every committee member is welcomed to print any one of them out and wear it to school when school starts again.

Dawn of a new day... and a brand new Olympic Committee

Some say the most important part when doing something is the beginning. Well, that's exactly what we did yesterday. It started after History class, when our presentation was only made up of ourselves and a piece of manila card. Although the presentation didn't go as smoothly as it would've been, Kornesh decided he wanted to have some fun with the manila card.First, he hit me with it for a few times. Then he ripped it apart but not entirely. After that, he rolled it into a torch-like shape and that's when we got the idea of making a sort of replica of the Beijing 2008 Olympics torch. Sure it was made out of manila card, but boy was it going to look awesome. We started of by stabbing it to cut out some pieces of it to make the fire. We didn't have scissors so we used a ruler. Then, after a couple of adjustments, it turned out really nice and was almost finished. However, it looked plain and boring. Then, Lay Heng came and drew the Beijing 2008 Olympics logo and I coloured it in. It looked way awesome by then and with more decorations like the rings and some spirals, it looked amazing. Nothing in this world made the whole class cheer in delight and unite as one and feeling proud that we actually have something that reflects the Olympics. Of course me and Kornesh were the proudest but nobody could hide their pride as well.

The next day, today, we promised to bring manila card and other stuff for more Olympics decorations. It was here that the Olympic Committee was born. It mainly consists of anyone who in any way helped with everything, from cutting out the news for the Olympics Corner to supplying us with name tags. It was a movement where all of 4M1 was moving together. It took a whole hour to plan the work and work the plan. We mainly cut out stuff that regards the Olympics and some pictures of it, too. The blackboard was decorated with the Beijing Olympics logo and with the cheer and hustle of the Olympic Committee, the products were beginning to appear. We wanted to make another torch but it just wouldn't turn out the same as the first. Kornesh did manage to make another one but its awesomeness is that of a lesser degree than the first one. Many of us were very, very excited of the project. We couldn't finish everything by the end of the day but we did manage to go home with a very happy and proud feeling.
